The Journey

Olivia “Liv” Weatherford was a vibrant, passionate, loving 9-year-old girl.
On April 2, 2019, she was diagnosed with stage IV high-risk neuroblastoma. After several scans, she was referred to and transferred to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Once there, she went through rigorous treatments, including high-dose chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, transplant, and many other necessary treatments. She needed additional therapy such as phase trials and vaccines, which she received at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York, and a trial at Texas Children’s.
In September of 2023, Olivia passed away after a nearly 4 1/2 year battle and received her ultimate healing. She always loved doing things for others, thinking of others before herself, and brightening the day of others through surprises and gifts. The goal of the foundation, named in her honor, is to bless those families facing the unimaginable journey that is pediatric cancer, and supporting organizations that are working towards enriching the lives and enhancing the future of families in the midst of the cancer journey.
